Seeking any information at all about Pikerni, birthplace of my grandfather, Paraskeva Nicholas DELIS (Americanized to Pete DALIS), b. 1886, and uncle Athanasios Nicholas DELIS (Tom DALLAS), b. 1898. Pete came to America in 1900 with cousins George, Andrew, and Nick. George stayed with family in Denver then moved near Pete in San Jose, CA. Also researching great-uncles' lines: BOUDROUKAS (BUDROS) and PANOPOULOS (PANOPULOS), also from Pikerni. DEMOS is a family name but we are unsure of the actual connection. SAHINES is another name from the town. ELIOPOULOS (ELLIS) may also be related. Please respond if any of this 'rings a bell.' (At some point, Pete and his brother-in-law George PANOPULOS each had a candy store.) Any information is appreciated. Thanks very much!
