| Hi Does anyone have anyone info on Thomas AMES born around 1806 probably in Staffs or Worcs please? I'd like to find his bapt/birth, which he said was not in Worcs. I suspect the area could therefore have been Staffs at that time. In 1841 he was living with his wife Henzey (who has been transcibed variously as Nansey and Jessie) and their 4 chldren at Waste Bank, Old Swinford. He was glass cutter. They married in Clent in 1833. By 1851 although Nansey/Jessie AMOS was still at that address with three of their children, and she said was 'married', not widowed. He was not at home on the 1851 census night. He could been woking away, in hospital, asylum etc, or she could have been not 100% truthful. So I cannot discover where he came from via the 1851 and I can't find him on the 1861. Carole |
