Hi Elaine I too am seeking more information on the Offland family - though I have the name as Hoffland too. My GGrandmother was Elizabeth Hoffland, the daughter of the William Hoffland born in Stockham, who married Ellen Williams in Daresbury. I have this as his first marriage, so would be interested in any details you may have. After Ellen's death William married again in 1866 to a widow, Margaret Woodward nee Nicholls. I have a copy of the marriage certificate, and William's father is shown as James Offland, not John, (There was a James Offland living in Runcorn in 1841, of around the right age, wife Sarah) Please get in touch, as I would be delighted to share information and see if we can make any more progress in tracing this part of our family tree.
