Because my Ancestors came from Cumberland (Storeys / Storys) I try to purchase the Bewcastle Journal whenever possible. The March 2003 edition has extremely interesting info on the Crozier name together with a re-print of the Will of Daniel Crozier (Crozor) which was witnessed by John Story and James Nixon. Articles on the Rowell Family of Stapleton, The Horse & Farrier Inn at Oakshawford, The Sporting Vicar (Rev. John Wilson - Rector of Bewcastle 1925-8), Customs & Superstitions of the Border, Riggfoot (Stanley Armstrong) etc etc.
