My great-grandfather Albert Walter Gamage (of Gamages Department Store) was born in 1855 in Hereford - I only know that his father's name was John or Henry, his occupation was decorator/painter and then he became a farmer, I can't find his family at all. I don't know if he had brothers of sisters - although reading this message board - he could have had a brother David Carr Gamage and on the internet there was a reference to an Eric T Gamage. Can anyone help - I found Albert in the 1881 census and then again in 1901 census. Thanks, Miranda Young (nee Gamage)
