Thanks for the reply - by the 1861 Census my James Andrews had married in 1854 at Panteg, spose Mary Ann Morgan although I cannot find him on the 1861 Census According to the 1871 Census their daughter Catherine Andrews was born in Leeds in 1859 but that's drawn a blank too and they now resided in Blaenavon I think the key to finding the family lies (unfortunately) in the 1841 Census i.e. Charles Andrews but I haven't had any luck yet Rick
