My grandmother was Elizabeth Arbon and she had, among others, a younger brother, Harry Arbon, who was born about 1878/9 in Barnham, Suffolk, England. In the 1881 Census, the family were living at Bardwell in Suffolk. In the 1891 Census, Harry is an Agricultural Labourer residing in Balsham, Cambridgeshie. On 13 April 1902, he married Ada Stubberfield in Tottenham, Middlesex. He was employed as a Milkman by Welfords Dairy. In 1911, Harry emigrated to Canada arriving at Quebec on the 'Ascania' on 2 June 1911. He settled in Ontario and became a tram driver. In WW1, he was in Europe with the Canadian Army and returned to Canada on the 'Royal George' which docked at Halifax, Nova Scotia on 20 February 1919. Afterwards, he became a fruit farmer at Beamsville in Ontario. Harry's siblings were:- Elizabeth, 1871; George 1873; Caroline 1875; Harriet 1880; Frederick 1882; and Robert 1884.
