I am trying to research my great grandfather David Hanover married to Ida (Kinney). I am getting really confused. 1900 census shows him in Warrick Co., Indiana, 1920 census shows him in White Co., Illinois under the name of Hanold. 1930 census shows them in White Co., Illinois under Hanover again. My granfather, George Minyard Hanover was born in 1898 and we were told he was born in Stoddard County, Missouri.
