I am looking for anyone to help me trace a Nancy Unwin's parents. She was born 1853 in Manchester, Lancashire, England.

She was married to a Robert Holt born 1855, and they had eight children together: John 1878, Hannah 1881, George 1883, Martha 1888, William 1890, Robert 1894, Arthur 1896 and Elizabeth 1900.

If anyone has any information on Nancy Goodwin your help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a connection with Bedfordshire? If not it might be better to post on the Lancashire board

On checking the 1891 census, it seems that Nancy Holt (Goodwin) was born in Derbyshire, in about 1858. On the 1861 census, there is a family, living in Bradford, but born in Derbyshire, with a daughter who could be your relative.

On the 1851 census, I can only find one in Derbyshire, but she is working as a servant, and not with any parent so it is impossible to say which one she is.
