William was my GG Grandfather. He was married to Sarah Betts both born 1852 in Bedfordshire. Sometime after 1881 they went their separate ways with Sarah marrying Alfred Clayton. I've been told that William also married a woman named Ann and had two other children but I'm doubting that information is correct.
Would anyone with Wm Kimpton on their tree have any further information on him?

In 1891 he was shown as age 40 married, but no wife with him, lodging at Tottenham. In 1901 he was aged 49 with a wife Louisa age 33 born Dudley Worcestershire living in Hampstead.

I can't find remarriages of either William Kimpton to a Louisa, or Alfred Clayton to Sarah Kimpton. Did either of them actually marry, which would probably have been bigamously, or did they just live together?

Thats what I also found and thought that was more likely my GG Grandfather than the William that married an Ann. His information just didn't match later info found on my GGrandmothers marriage license.
As to whether William married Louisa and Sarah to Alfred....haven't a clue. Seems that a lot of times they just lived together lol.
