I have looked at your website, it's very interesting. I couldn't find any canal maps for the area around Tipton though. Would a journey from Polesworth (Warks)to Tipton have been possible along the canal? Have you come across the Bushell family in research?

I have John Bushell (Polesworth) whose daughter Sarah (1832)married William Walters (my 2x gt grandfather). Is there any connection to your family?

Hi There
I have no boatpeople in my family tree, but I do take interest in our local area, which includes a lot of canals and the Netherton Tunnel Which is only 300yds from my house, there is a good view of the the old engine house and of the canals and bridges,It is now Warrens Hall Park.
Living in this area is a lady who was one of the last people to work with her parents on a narrow boat,I remember her uncle who carried Tar Midsland Tar Distillers in Oldbury in the early 1950's,
send me your email address and I will send you some of the articles she has written in the local paper, and some photographs
