Please can someone out there help,i am looking for my gg grandfather William George Rose,or anyone by the name of Rose living in a cottage/cottages,i think near to Spon Lane West Brom.

William Rose had some connection with the Black country,but is found living in Vine St Aston B Ham in 1891,did he or one of his children move there?so what i am asking for i suppose is a lookup please,for any rose around the late 1800s early 1900s.

I do hope someone can help with my Black country mystery.

Do you have him in 1881?

William George Rose who is at 7 Vine Street, Aston (Manor) in 1891 is still there in 1901

And eldest son William Wallis Rose from the 1891 was at Chelsea Barracks in 1901. I don't see any connection to West Brom

I can't find any Rose family on Spon Lane in 1901.
Perhaps if you can explain exactly who you are looking for and why you think they will be found on Spon Lane then maybe some one will have a bright idea :-)

Katrina,the reason is that my grandfather used to visit his sister who lived in a cottage on or near Spon Lane,her name was Vera.
My mom used to visit there too,i would say mid to late 40s,she says that they were definately rose's,so you see i am trying to find the West Brom connection,there was also a brother called James/Jimmy who was a well known boxer in the 20s,its strange that most of his fights were in and around W Brom
