The above five families are all in Birkenhead area between 1820 and today. The progenitor was Humphrey Thomas married to Alice Sparks in 1770 at Woodchurch. They had sons William (married Mary Davies 1797), Sparks (married Hannah Dodd 1807) and John (married Margaret ? about 1806). If you have a Spark Thomas in your family line you are probably related. Prior to that most lines were in Flintshire. I have an extensive database and there are about 5 researchers working on the various family branches. Please contact me if you are related.

I was interested to see both Foulkes and Dodd on your list and just thought I'd drop you a line with my ancestors names.
The Foulkes connection comes from my mothers side - Thomas Foulkes, living probably St Asaph during early 1800's.
His daughter Mary Foulkes married Ernest Lloyd Williams approx mid 1800's
He was a builder in Rhyl before he lost his money and moved to Cheshire.

Regarding Dodd - I have Lewis Dodd, living Cheshire Moreton, (Lingham Farm),related to my fathers side - his daughter Margaret Alice Dodd married William Hale 27th Nov 1913.

i am a dodd living in the birkenhead area

I am quite sure that Hannah had siblings in the Birkenhead area but am not aware of which ones. I have a limited amount of info on her immediate family from Bridge Trafford registers but that is about it. Any help would be amazing.

I am the Great Grandson of Mary Catherine Thomas, wife of Ralph Blake. Mary was the eldest daughter of Thomas Glegge Thomas son of Humphrey Thomas. Any more info would be very welcome. Especially about Mary's siblings

Michael Gregory has much more info on your Blake line than I do. I did give him all my original research on the Thomas' which he has expanded and confirmed with a professional genealogist. (well I did make a couple of little errors like calling "christenings" births etc - but I did this many years ago as a novice.) You are welcome to what I have .
