My sister Lynn was booking a hotel in Scottland and she started to spell out her last name, Callentine, and the woman said 'no need to spell it out, there are lots of Callentines in Scottland and Ireland.' First clue to us! We were told we are German. I found a ship manifest where Callentine worked on the ship and lived in New York. But I can't find any trace of the Callentine name leaving New York and heading west. I have found my branch in Ohio but can't link the 1800 Callentine with the 1930's Callentine in Ohio. I guess it might be time for a field trip!!!

My mother is Janeylou Patricia Edenfield, she does in fact live in Las Vegas. She goes by Pat, Patty when she was a kid. You must be Uncle Pink's daughter.

This is an old thread but Lizzie Fitzsimmons was my great grand aunt, the sister of my great grandmother Margaret Fitzsimmons. Three of the Fitzsimmon's sisters married Collentine brothers in New York City. I am interested in anyone who has information about these families. In particular, I would like to know where in Ireland the Fitzsimmons family came from.
