My Gr gr Grandfather , John WILTON, left believe Cornwall and came to USA via Philadelphia, Pa to Marquet Co Michigan to work in the mines. He met and mar. Mary GREET ( whose father was also a John) in Mich. abt 1872. They had 2 ch. there and then went to Trindad, Los Animas Co. Colorada where they died. Abt 1887, John Wilton's father, William WILTON and wife, Mary came to USA to same place. Mary died there in 1899. William and son John made a trip back to England abt 1910-1914 ( exact date unk ) to visit. I have a photo taken at that time there as it has , PLYMOUTH stamped on front. William could have had the photo taken on way to leave to return or when he got there. His Hair is snow white as he was abt 75 yrs. If anyone knows of these families I would love to hear from you. Mary GREET also had come from Cornwall, England befor 1870 with her parents. Will exchange my imfo with any WILTON'S and GREET's who will contact me. Thank you, Anxious, William Adrian WILTON,,,, E-MAIL mmwaw@sprynet.com, P O Box 177 Roy, Washington, 98580

the name STONE originates in Cornwall, you can get a history and coat of arms from www.infokey.com - My great grandfather was Charles Edward STONE I believe from Cornwall he was born circa 1880 and died circa 1937 in London. He fought in the boer war. He was married to Margaret Stone nee Mulvyhill who was in a mental asylum in London for many years and died there of cancer (throat) I believe in 1944. They had a daughter Margaret Mary born 1910 who married into the GRADY family.

any relation??

Hi Mike ,
I just put a message here for another of your responses for Cornwall Co.
Haven't heard from you. Have you had any luck getting Wilton Gen?
I copied some things from a book on early Wiltons to U S A but mine, John, b 1850 in Eng. came in 1868. I got his application and a few things. His Fa is a William and a Mary who came to Co where John lived , in 1887. Mary died in 1899 as we found an obit that said she came with William 12 yrs before.

Since I can't see your message while sending this.

We are interested in the Wilton's in England at this time period. We believe the John Wilton b 1850 Eng. was the son of William and a Mary ?on Mary. William and Mary came to Las Animas Co Colorado in 1887 as Mary died 1889 and obit says they did 12 yrs before. These Wilton's worked in the mines. We have a picture of William with snow white hair a rather abt 6 ft looking person , sitting in a chair taken in Plymouth Eng. abt the time they left. Looks like late 1800's picture. Stamped on front Plymouth , Eng.
Do you have anything on the Engish Wilton's at all?
Where do you live? Have you seen the name Greet in England?
We live in Roy, Wa. close to Tacoma Wa. Keep in touch and send reply to mmwaw@sprynet.com our home E Mail address as well as this site. I haven't gotton much results from U S A on Wiltons. Maxine and for William Wilton

I don't have much at all, except a Sarah Wilton Billett, of the Cornish branch of Billetts' who married twice. The parents of Sarah apparently merged their surnames as they both had money. This I was told verbally by my late father. I have no dates for her but looking at what I have got, she must have been born in the late 1700s as her daughter Elizabeth Ann was born in 1833.
I am very new at this and all I can give is who married who and some of their children.
If this is of any interest to anyone, please feel free to contact me, clare_billett@hotmail.com
