Margaret Boothman b Lancaster 1852, married John Lawson in Carlisle in 1872, Rachel Boothman b Lancaster 1854, married James Richardson in Carlisle in 1874.Also my Grandfathers H/brother George Boothman b Blackburn 1853, married Mary Ennis in Carlisle in 1876 who's two Sons John b Carlisle 1878, William b Carlisle 1880, suspect left Carlisle in their youth. Also John Tweddle b Carlisle 1825 and William Tweddle b 1826. Thank you

Have Tweddle ancestors from Carlisle area. John Tweddle b. 1798 in Temple Sowerby, Westmoreland County, Eng. Moved to Carlisle as a small boy after father died; married Sarah Bell; had son Joseph Daniel Tweddle b. 1818; left Eng. in 1819 landing in Philadelphia. Contact if this is same person.

I also have an interested in the Tweddle, Tweddell name. Mine are from Durham, England, although I have an Elizabeth Tweddell marries a Knox and they migrate to Utah in the 1850's

thanks for getting in touch but your Tweddle Family and mine are not the same, although they both come from the North of England, they are different Counties.

My great-great-grandfather was Joseph D. Tweddle born around 1817 in or around Carlisle, England. He moved from New York to Kentucky and married Sara A. Jones in 1854. I'm not sure if he is the same as your Joseph Daniel Tweddle. My father suspects that our Joseph Tweddle was related to John Tweddle of Albany, NY (born 1798), but we haven't found a record. Could these be the same?
