The Quinn family from Moresby UK. Michael Quinn and his wife Mary Milligan both came from Co. Down Ire and not Co. Cavan as has been stated. Michael's father was a Terrance Quinn and mother Ann. Terrance's father was a Myles(1799) he also had a brother named Myles, all born Co. Down Ire in Killilea (could be a typo). Terrance's brother Myles went to America in the early 1850's at the age of 29 there, he met and married an Irish lady named Josie Whitehead from Co. Cork Ire, they settled in Boston MA to which there is a large Quinn family.

I want to thank in public, John Quinn from Whitehaven UK for doing all the work and finding all us Quinn's from Co. Down Ireland. Cheers Johnny boy and no, the shady lady and her boyfriend hasn't been in touch.

I must disagree with this information. This Quinn family originated by all current information from County Cavan, Ireland. Michael's father was Nicholas Quinn who married Ann. Michael did marry Ann and they lived on Quay Street, Whitehaven, UK for a time. Myles, my grandfather, was the son of Michael and he came to New York in the 1920's and married Mary McEvoy who hailed from Roscrea, County Tipperary, Ireland also in the 1920's. Terrance was the son of Joseph Quinn, another son of Michael and Mary
