Looking for descendants of Patrick Gilmore of Alston, Cumberland, born Ballygar, Ireland circa 1834 died Alston 1892. In particular I would like to find descendants of Patrick's eldest son Peter Gilmore, born Carlisle 1855, lived Alston, Cumberland and married Elizabeth Walton circa 1882 also died Alston 1892.

Thank you very much for taking the trouble to reply.I have details of the family from all the census returns post 1861 up to and including 1901.
I am interested in finding descendants of Peter and Elizabeth's children mentioned in the 1901 census.
Patrick born 1880 was my grandfather and I was unaware of the extent of Peter's family until I read the 1901 census.
Peter was Patrick senior's eldest son by his first wife Jane, Patrick junior youngest son to Patrick by his second wife Elizabeth.

My great-grandfather was the older brother of your grandfather Patrick. My g-grandfather was John William. In the 1901 Census John William was married and living in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, having moved there after the lead mining industry all but dried up in Alston.
