We are looking for information on a Gawen Lancaster possibly from Cumberland County. Also we are trying to figure out what some information we have means. The information comes from something called "CUMBERLAND FEET OF FINES, HENRY VIII". It mentions, under Gylfyng & Laton(Pltffs.), Elizabeth Lancaster widow, Gawen Lancaster son & heir of Wm. Lancaster & said Elizabeth. I do not have a year for this entry or do i know what it means. Gawen was born circa 1607 and sailed for the colonies in 1635.
