Her parents were Isaac Parkin and Eliza. I found the marriage of Isaac to an Eliza Clarke 1866 Belper, Nottingham yet on an 1871 census I found Susannah with them and it stated that Eliza's parents were George Barder. When I opened the 1871 census I had a job to read Georges surname so if anyone can shed some light on the surname it might be I would be very grateful.

Kind regards

Patricia

Hello

1871
BRADER, George Head M 51 1820 Nottinghamshire
BRADER, Cathrine Wife F 49 1822 Nottinghamshire
their sons
BRADER, George Son M 14 1857 Derbyshire
BRADER, John Son M 12 1859 Yorkshire

PARKIN, Isaac Son-In-Law M 29 1842 Derbyshire
his wife - their daughter
PARKIN, Eliza Daughter F 25 1846 Nottinghamshire
PARKIN, Susannah Granddaughter F 3 1868 Derbyshire
in Green Hillocks, Ripley, Belper, Derbys

there is

Births Sep 1846
Bradder Elizabeth
Mansfield 15 / 529

which would make sense - however, mum could have remarried and, as was the way, the new dad would have classify her as a daughter - relationships were classed a tad different back then as opposed to now

Hi Patricia,

I noticed on Ancestry that you have William J. Day born 1856
in Egerton, Kent, England. William J. Day was my great
grandfather. His father was William Day born 1814-1815 and
his mother was Caroline born about 1819. William J. Day
married Amelia Heathfield. Is this the same family as
yours? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gloria
