I am looking for the for the parents of Joseph Allen born in Ashover, Derbyshire on 21/2/1813. He married Sarah Hunt who was born in 1817. They had six children, Ann, Joseph, Hannah, William, Gearge and Henry (my great Grandfather). Is there any way I can get this information from the net or do I have to start travelling. I am quite new to this so any help would be very gratefully accepted

Have you tried www.familysearch.org. they have records prior to 1837. I have just Joseph Allens marriage record on ancestry, 1837 Jul-Sep Vol 19 Page 407 Belper, Derbyshire. Sarah Hunt was also on the page. You can order the certificate on www.gro.gov.uk
