Hi,

I am looking for information about John Albert Carter, who was born around 1801. He married Grace, but I am not sure of her last name. I thought that I had found the correct family and that her name was Grace Stacey, but some of the facts do not work. John and Grace had three children according to the census. Anna was born in Harpford, Devon on Feb. 23, 1834 and Robert was born on May 18, 1823. I would like to find out more information about them. Robert came to Ontario, Canada.

Edwin, who is in my direct family line was born in 1823. This leaves a huge gap between Robert and Edwin. There must be more children.

Edwin married Eliza Bridle and I have this information, but very little information about Eliza's family. Edwin and Grace came to Canada.

According to the IGI, the following children were baptised (remember baptism doesn't always coincide with birth) at Harpford to John & Grace CARTER:

1 Dec 1829 Elizabeth
25 Mar 1832 Edwin
23 Feb 1834 Anna
A John CARTER was baptised at Harpford 21 Jan 1801, son of ELias & Hannah.
A John CARTER was married at Harpford to Grace STACEY 10 Jan 1823 - why do you think that this is not the marriage you want?
