Searching for information on the following: ROBERT II FIANDER, chr. 20 Sep 1847 in Sturminster Newton, Dorset,
d. 19 Feb 1927 in State of Washingtin, USA. He came to America to work for the Hudson Bay Company, and stayed in
USA,married a native Indian, took up land and raised a family of 10 children. It appears that his parents were
ROBERT I FIANDER, chr. 12 Oct 1806 in Sturminster, and
EMMA CHAFFEY. Probable parents of ROBERT I were WILLIAM
FIANDER and MARTHA of Sturminster.
Parents of EMMA CHAFFEY, chr. 18 Mar 1810 in Sturminster,
appear to be RICHARD CHAFFEY, b. 6 Feb 1793 in Corfe Castle,
Dorset, and MARY. Parents of Richard appear to be JAMES CHAFFEY, b. 1753 in Corfe Castle, and FRANCES SAUNDERS.
Any information on the above will be sincerely appreciated. I have quite complete records of the descendants of ROBERT I, and will be happy to share.

I am also looking for information regarding a Robert Fiander. According to my family tree he married an Indian woman by the name of Jennie Winnier - if we're talking about the same Robert Fiander. They had a son name William Fiander whom married Alma Olney. I am interested in looking for more information on Robert's wife Jennie Winnier. To my knowledge, William Fiander is the only child of Robert and Jennie, he remarried and has other children, I believe in Eatonville, Washington is where they resided at. Any information will be very helpful. I hope the little input I have does help you. Thanks again.

I have Jennie or Jane Wynder,Indian Woman. My record shows that she died in 1880 in Eastern Washington, with a mention of White Swan, which is located in the Yakima Indian Reservation. Her son William Fiander was born on October 29,1879 in Pierce County, WA, and died in October 1880 in WA. His wife was Alma Olney, but I do not have a record of any children of that marriage. Since Jennie died
in the Yakima area it is possible that she was a Yakima Indian. Several other Fiander's lived in the Yakima area.
I have the name of Jack Fiander, address White Swan, 98952.
You might contact hime for info. I am not decended from Fianders. I have been researching for the wife of a cousin of mine that has lived in Eatonville all her life. I have traced the Fianders several generations back in England, and will share that info if you want it. I will need a mailing address to do that. I would appreciate records of your ancestry.

I descend from Robert Fiander from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I would be interested in what you have on this relative as their seems to be some confusion regarding his parentage. Some thought his parents were William Fiander and Ann Sturmey but it seems that his birth did not appear ( I'm not sure if it was on the Parish records or the Census records) and to complicate matters there had been a major fire in the 1700's which had wiped out a large portion of info from that time period. According to N.S. Census records Robert was born~ 1804. Is this the same person you are referring to?? If so, I'd really like to hear from you.
