Hi again,
I didn't mean to imply that YOU were at fault. The information you gave me on Josiah's baptism record is perfectly correct. And I'm thankful!
The following was emailed to me yesterday, telling me I was on the wrong track with Walter &
Charity because their son Josiah died the same year he was born. (I have not seen these records myself.
Poole St. James Baptisms 1653-1790
1734 - Frampton, Jos. - Walter &
CharityPoole St. James Burials 1710-1790
1734 - Frampton, Jos. - Son of Walter
Although the death record doesn't mention the mother, the Jos. buried here is more than likely the same one born to Walter &
Charity.
There was a Walter
Frampton who married Margaret Kent c1728 in
Corfe Castle. They could have had a Jos. I suppose, but what are the chances?
Unfortunately the last one on my tree was Josiah himself and he left
England 1750-60. So I'm up a creek without a paddle. And it's a long swim to
England.
What prompted me to check my information in the first place was the fact that Josiah didn't name any of his children Walter or
Charity. His first son was William and the next Robert, and both are plentiful in Dorset.
Once again, Woe is Me!!!
