Are there any people with the surname of Chaplow, Chapelow, or Chappelow living in the Shire of Durham area? I have been led to believe that I may find some relatives there. I also have a family Bible with the earliest entries from 1834 that lists birth and death notices from England. Three death notices mention: Thomas Chapelow, died off Billy Boow on the 9th of May 1870. Interred, Crook Cemetary (England)., George Chapelow, died at Low Bichburn, Sept. 28, 1882, and finally, Mary Chapelow Park, died Aug. 3, 1892 - buried Crompton cemetary, England. Please notify me ao anything concerning these or other references to the above mentioned surnames.

I am searching for relatives of the Chapplow/ Chapelhow family from County durham and Westmorland. I have a great deal of information about the Chapplow's going back as far as the 1700's over in Westmorland if this is of any help to you?

Thomas Chapelhow was my great great grandfather,
his son Richard Chapelhow was born 1864 in mugrisdale cumberland died in 1943, was my great grandfather, he married Mary Ann Platten 1892, they had Joseph b. 1894, Albert b. 1898, and Mary Ellen b.1903 (my grandmother she died in 1971)

My Aunty is a living Chapelow in esh winning durham and her brother also lives there.
