Thank you so much for this. I can now send off for the marriage certificate. Looks like several of the children were born prior to the marriage! Not unusual, I think, especially in the farming community. I'll also look up the census sheets myself for Hamfallow in 1901. Heaven knows why I couldn't find them on Ancestry. Just need to try and find both John and Mary Jane in 1891 now.... and I suppose they could have been living together then as the first child was 9 in 1901. Thank you again for your help with this.
