I'm searching for the origins of George Lovell c 1750 who may have originated from Awre area. He later married Elizabeth? and settled in Sussex. He also had an unmarried brother Jonathan c 1757

does anyone know of a Lovell family from this area?

Anne

Anne,

P.S.

The Mormon leaders teach that the spirits of people who have died cannot enter the celestial kingdom of heaven until a Mormon is baptized for them by proxy-i.e. a living person is immersed on behalf of the dead person.

When a batch entry extracted from church records is identified by an LDS member as being one of his/her ancestors, the member submits the data to the Temple in Salt Lake City and in accordance with LDS ordinances the proxy baptism is carried out.

The entry in the batch is then deleted.

Alas, the foregoing does not mean that all submitted entries in the IGI were once in an extracted batch so submitted entries must be disregarded. The LDS give no provenance of submitted entries.

The Source Call number given with extracted entries is the LDS film of the church records which may be hired and searched at an LDS FHC in order to verify, or otherwise, the submitted data.

Regards

O
