I am looking for anybody connected with Charles Young b1828 and lived in Tormaton untill his his death in 1906. Any help would be appreciated.

Bessie married #1 Charles Redwood. Do you know if her maiden name was Chandler?

Hello

Came across your message about Charles Young living in Tormarton. In 1874 he married again, her name was Kezia Redwood who was previously married to Charles Redwood, hence the step son/daughters living with them in the 1881 census. Kezia's maiden name is Chandler, her father was William and came from Chipping Sodbury.

Her name is not Bessie but 100% Kezia Chandler bn. 1839 Chipping Sodbury, married Charles Redwood 12 June 1858 Dodington...had 4 children, seperated but do not know reason or cannot find any trace of Charles Redwood, Kezia marries Charles Young in 1874 & 1881 census records steson/daughters. Charles Redwood is my great great grandad.

I am researching the family Marshall from Chipping Sodbury. Louisa Marshall md. William Chandler 1838 in Chipping Sodbury. In the 1851 Dodington, Glouc. census , Kezia , age 12 is living with her parents Louisa and William.
Kezia and Charles are listed in the 1861 Ch. Sod census living with his father.

According to the 1861 census Charles & Kezia are living with Charle's father, Daniel Redwood, I have doubts abt the accuracy of the document. I do not believe Daniel is his father and his age is incorrect aswell. I think Charles was bn out of wedlock, father unknown, mother was Harriut Redwood, according to his marriage certificate, the father was Charles. It all gets very confusing & difficult, thats the fun of family researching, their are always mistakes.

This is true in all census information- it depends on the person who gave the information. I was just thankful to find Keziah.
