Would anyone be able to do a look up of parish records. I have gone back as far as JOHN WINNIATT (Wynniatt?) who married Susanna Payne in 1691 in Snowshill, Glos. John was born c1670 - not entirely sure where, but assuming Snowshill. I am looking for some connection with the Wynniatt's in Dymock.
Many thanks

Hi, I have just read your message regarding the Wynniatt Family. I am researching the same name family that lived in Stanway. My Grandfather was George Wynniatt B. 1872 and Died 1944. I have managed to go back as far as my G.G Grandfather Mark Wynniatt and my G.G.G Grandfather Robert Wynniatt B. 1776 and Died 1860. If you have any information at all that would be of help I would love to hear from you. If you need any info please do not hesitate to ask and I will see if I can help. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Karen

Hi Karen

I have just started trying to trace my ancestors and came upon you message on ancestry uk.
My name is Gordon Wynniatt. I was born in Birmingham in 1942. My father was Benjamin Wynniatt who was also born in Birmingham in 1909. My grandfather was Harry Robert Wynniatt who was born in Didbrook Gloucestershire in 1881. I know that my grandfather had a brother, Frank, who lived in Reading, and a brother Fred who lived in Birmingham. I believe he also had a brother , Charlie, but I know nothing of him. Your grandfather, Geroge, could also have been one of his family. During my visits to The Cotswolds 40 years or so ago, I met my father's cousin Bert, who was married to Rita. Bert did work on the railway until ill health forced him to give it up, and he and Rita kept the Old Bakehouse at Stanway for a while. I hope this information might be of some interest to you, and if so I would be very pleased to hear of anything you can tell me that you have managed to discover

Kind Regards

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

While browsing I found your message about the Wynniatt family. I have quite an interest in the family as my name is Winnett. Several Wynniatt families in the past "evolved" into Winnett families.

I have a website devoted to this research: www.winnettorigins.com

Part of my research also involves using DNA studies to link families, which has been of great use so far. I would be very grateful if you (or other relatives) would consider joining the DNA project - details on the website.

In the meantime, I will see if I can shed any further light on your ancestry from details I have.

Regards,

Andrew Winnett
