Am researching my ancestors from the south west area of Herefordshire.
My great great grandfather, Charles Edwin

Lane draper and grocer in Peterchurch. His brother, Tracy, also ran a shop in Llanwarne. His sister, Jane
Sophia, lived on Common Hill, Fownehope. His brother, John Richard, Lived and worked in Raglan, (a butcher I beleive). Another sister married a
Thompson.
His first wife was Ann Elizabeth
Lane, daughter of Henry
Lane and Ann
Williams of Gwinherrion Farm
Welsh Newton Herefordshire. Yes they were cousins!
His second wife was Catherine
Sophia Jones of Snodhill near Peterchurch. They were also cousins!
His third wife is a bit of a mistery. Tassie Matilda ? Beleived to have been associated with the Pandy Inn, Dorstone, and probably a very staunch Wesleyan Methodists. When he died so was he.
His Father, Richard, lived at Treworgan Farm near Llangarron.
The family originally came from
Holme Lacey and Bolstone, and may wel have had property at Llantillio Crossenny, Monmouthshire.
Am particularly interested in branches of the family that DO NOT stem from Charles Edwin
Lane, the son, as he is my great grandfather, except the South African Clan, Eve's and Lane's.
Does anybody know anything else?
