Many thanks for your continued efforts on my behalf. I have found a David IVES aged 33 in the 1851 Census. He is in Levens Green, Great Munden with a wife Elizabeth aged 28 and also from Great Munden and children aged 6, 4, 2 and 1 month. Does this help with the marriage.

Yes - I think that's David Ives + Elizabeth Maskell, who married oct-dec 1843 in the Ware district. I can trace David and Elizabeth through to 1901 and I think David died in 1913, in the Royston reg. district

There is a chr. for an Elizabeth Maskell in Grt Munden, 13 mar 1825, which fits, but I couldn't see the marriage in the records for Grt Munden or Little Munden. I shall have to cast the net a little wider.
