Would anyone know the details for the birth of Harry Timson in March 1835 in Ware, son of Henry Timson. I need to obtain a birth certificate so I can berify his parents name as Harry often shows up as Henry, though on Theresa Timson's (his daughter) birth and marriage certificate his name is entered as Harry

Hi Lottee, Unfortunately birth registrations did not start until 1837. You may be able to locate his baptism on FAMILY SEARCH or by checking with HALS. From JohnH.

You may find it helpful to look at some of the help pages on www.hertfordshire-genealogy.co.uk which has information on where you might find information prior the the start of civil registration in 1837, and may also give you some ideas of where you might look if, for example, you ancestor was baptisted in a non-conformist chapel whose registers have not survived. At least with a birth in 1835 there is a chance you can identify the parents from census data.

Hi Lottee, Your mans baptism and his parents names are on the FamilySearch site. Baptised on 28th June 1835 at Ware, Hertford. Mum Rebecca - Dad Henry.
