Iv'e Traced my husband's family of Wormleighton to Bitterswell in Leicestershire,( 1799) but whene I asked both Google& Yahoo for an idea where it was & general information, all I got was fishing infro ! As you've probably learned, it's Bitteswell, near Lutterworth. It can be found on Google maps. I also have Wormleighton ancestors from the area near Lutterworth, specifically Jane Wormleighton b. 4 Jul 1800, dau of William (no dates) and Elizabeth Bates. Willliam is son of Thomas (no dates). Lacations include Monks Kirby, Lutterworth and Kimcote, all near Bitteswell. Jane is my gg grandmother. Hi, their is a one name society for Wormleighton in England, it's run by a Mr. Hancock. He told me there's a connecion between our London Wormleighton's and the Bitterwells, and the Yorkshires. We have a photo of a Hannah Wormleighton, ( an ? Aunt or What ?) but there are 2 Hannah's listed in York census, in correct time for Hannah's clothing in photo. Which ones ours or are both ours! Does anyone have an idea ? Diane
