Hi again everyone
Just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere I can get info on people who were given Freedom of the City of Leicester. My Great Grandfather Frederick Howard Burdett was apparently given the Freedom of the City in 1913. I have been onto the Leicester Council's website about people granted freedom and have emailed the relevant dept for some more info. It sounds very grand but as far as I can tell it wasn't - it was more of a tradespersons recognition. He was a Master Tailor apparently.
