Hi there,
I am from Australia and looking for my greatgrandmother who was born in Melton, UK - I believe it is leicestershire?
I have only her birth date (21 Sept 1901) and the details of her travel to Australia in 1926. Her full name was Edith Emily Jessie Hutton and I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about a Hutton family in Melton around 1900, or maybe someone knew her. She married Hector Mackenzie in Sydney in Sept 1926, I'm not sure if they knew each other before they travelled, they did arrive on different ships.
Also can anyone tell me if I order a birth cert. for her will it tell me details about her parents?
