im looking into where and how the name carpmail came to loughborough any help appreciated

Hi, I understand you are interested in my surname, Carpmail. I've managed to track my family tree back to the 1700s in Loughborough. My great grandfather was born there in 1885 (nottingham road)George Harry. His father had lived in Baxter gate and was a butcher(thomas). His father, William, was a farmer with 150 acres. He was born in 1783 and had a brother and sister(Mary).. Whilst at Loughborough records office I noticed a carpmail wedding at All saints in the 1500s!

hi mark i was a bit supprised to say the least to hear from some one after all this time thomas was my greatgrand father his son alfred was my grandad i would love to see if at all possible the info you have i have always thought that we as a family came from abbotts bromley in the first instant . any way its good to find some more of our family dont you think
