Hello, thanks for replying. I have been down that route, but cannot find any records i.e Census to back it up. The nearest I have found was Charles Hampson b. 1845 in Frisby-on-the-Wreake, Leics to Edward & Elizabeth. On Charles' Marriage Cert. it states Edward as the Father and Occ. as Sculptor. Edward mentioned above was a Navigational Labourer! The another twist. Charles married Maria Duval and on M.C states add. as Catesby St., Leicester and name as Thompson!! Next door to them was Maria's sister Eleanor so I don't know what to make of it all. Once married I know details I have are to be true as my Grandmother was one of Charles & Maria's daughters.

on the 1871 census. there is this family. I know it is not yours, but the surname is very near, and Leicester Road Wigston Magna, is the road where the Star and Garter pub was, (according to the internet) Could there be a connection, or have you not taken the siblings any further back?
