Surnames: Kempshall, Stennet
I have found baptisms for the family I am interested in as I look at the parish records on the IGI for this location.
Michael Kempshall and Sarah Stennet had George, Michael and Alfred baptised here between 1827 and 1834; then they moved to Canada.

I am now trying to determine the parents of Michael, who according to the Canadian census was born about 1801. I see that there are two Kempshall baptisms in this parish in batch C030332 [roughly 1660-1812] ... George in 1800 and Robert in 1809; but no Michael, here or anywhere else in that time period. George and Robert were the sons of George and Jane; Michael named his first son George; any significance to that?

Where else might I look for Michael?

Thanks, Ruth in Canada

If you searcg your IGI batch C030332 for children of George and Jane (no surname) bap 1805 +/-10, you will find 6 baptisms, 4 of them HEMPSHAL - including Michael 1804.

A possible marriage - about 15 miles away - could be
15 May 1800 at Morton by Bourne
George KEMSHER to Jane TORY

Jane was buried 10 Feb 1821 at Moulton aged 43.
George KEMPSHAL (wid) married Sarah SMITH 13 Sept 1836 at Moulton.

George was buried 17 Dec 1843 aged 75 and Sarah 20 Nov 1856 aged 66.
