I would really appreciate any assistance. I am trying to find any information about my great great grandmother Dorothy Tulip.
She married my g g grandfather, John French in Cockermouth in 1845 and gave birth to my g grandfather, William Hetherington French in 1845 according to the 1851 census.
Dorothy died in 1852 and her husband subsequently remarried a Margaret Bell in 1853 and immigrated to Australia with his new wife and son on the Araminta in 1854.
I would appreciate any information on all of the above.

There was a Dorothy TULIP baptised on April 14th.1826 at Bellingham. Parents: William (a weaver) and Jane.

A William TULIP (bachelor) married a Jane BROWN (widow) on March 29th.1824.

I did notice a baptism of a DOROTHY TULIP on the Family Search site but didn't have anyway of confirming the details. Where do you go to find the dates if they are before 1837?

I found the details on a fiche of Bellingham BMDs, but you could find them on the IGI Batch Nos.

Just go to Bellingham and then enter TULIP and it will bring up details. It will show you about 8 children of William & Jane.

My Great Great Grandmother was Mary Ann Tulip born Bellingham 1834 and married John Turner 1n 1862.
When Mary Ann in died in 1880 he moved all the family to Dalton in Furness.
I am interested in any information on the Tulip family.
