Small update in a negative way.
I dropped into the Woodhorn record office last week while up north on holiday.
Baptism od the first daughter found OK but tells me nothing about who GG Gmam Margaret THOMPSON was "sleeping" with:
Woodhorn NBL, record office 21 June 2008, Baptisms Wallsend St Peter Film M172 page 299:
date 1854 March 11
Child Margaret Ellen, Illegitimate daughter of
Parents Margaret THOMPSON
Abode Willington Quay
Trade Single Woman
By J P HODGSON, Curate (most baptisms were done by the vicar John ARMSTRONG)

But I could find nothing on baptisms for the second two daughters at Wallsend St Peter's between 1854 and 1860 or Tynemouth Christchurch from 1855 to 1860.

Maybe I'll get up there again sometime in the next few years.
Bryan.
