Louise,
I think you had discovered no "stand-out" info on this family because it seems that your info is fairly recent and based in Northumberland.
Census 1901 is the latest census we have to browse thru
( We will get C1911 next year)
So searching events after 1901 is not impossible, but not as easy as researching times prior to 1901.
And to make things more difficult for you the Mocketts have no base in the county of Northumberland.
In C1901 there was not one single mockett in Northumberland.
From the FreeBMD site it would seem that the first civil registration in Northumberland was the birth of a Henry Thomas Mockett, registered with Morpeth Registration District ( Morpeth RD also administered Bedlington)
Research of the surname of Mockett shows it to be very much based in south-east England, especially Kent.
But I did see the marriage registration ( in Guisborough, Yorkshire) in the September Qtr of 1895 of a Hetty Beatrice Marshall.. but it appeared that it was a Henry James Mockett that she married.
This couple must have sometime after moved into Northumberland...
Birth Registrations with Morpeth Reg District...
March Qtr 1904 Henry Thomas Mockett @ Morpeth
June Qtr 1908 Walter @ Morpeth
Sept Qtr 1910 Agnes H @ Morpeth
June Qtr 1914 Gladys (your ggm) @ Morpeth ( in this era ecords show the maiden name of the mother of the child registered... in this case Marshall )
and so on... but info you probably already have (e.g. In 1925 Henry Thomas marrying Susanne Logan)
I would guess you are wanting to travel backwards thru time ?
Do you have any more info on your Henry Thomas Mockett... where was he from, what was his occupation ?
Michael Dixon
