Hello there

Would some kind person be able to help me please?

My maternal great grandparents were James Cruikshank, born Kent and Ann (Annie) Ferguson, born Cumbria. I have found them and their children in all census returns, except the 1891 census.

Great grandfather James is shown as a widower in the 1901 census and he is living with his son, George Victor aged 16 years, in Byker, Newcastle.

I have two possible deaths for Annie and wonder if someone would be able to do me a great favour and check the Evening Chronicle death notices for me. The death entries on Ancestry are for Ann (Annie) Cruikshank in the March qtr of 1883 in Gateshead and the December qtr. 1899 in Newcastle and I assume that her husband, James, would have registered her death.

Whilst I realise that this is a very long shot I have had fantastic help in the past; so fingers crossed.

Thank you

Brenda.
