I realise this is a very old post I am replying to, but if the offer still stands could you please look up any info on the following people:

Thomas and Anne Lawson had a daughter Ruth Lawson
Ruth Lawson married Robert Hepple abt 1797, and had 4 kids; George Lawson Hepple (1797), Thomas Nelson Hepple (1799), Anne Lawson Hepple (1801) and Lawson Nelson Hepple (1812).

This is the 'top' of my family tree. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance
Valerie

Hi Nancy,
I am not sure if you are doing this anymore but just in case I thought i would give it a try.My ancestors John Rogers married Mary Ewart 08 dec 1785 in Chatton, both are buried in Chatton. I have had no luck in finding who their parents are.
John would have been born abt 1758 and Mary abt 1759 according to ages on burial records. If you have the time could you please check and see if they are on your records.
Thank you very much..

I did find their marriage record in the Chatton records. It says as follows: "8 Dec. 1785 John Rogers and Mary Ewart, both of Fowberry in this P. Wit. William Logan, John Runshiman, William Brown." Unfortunately there is no christening record for them. There are some other Ewarts mentioned in the early years, in 1715 and 1717...James and John. But they both had just daughters listed. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Hi Valerie,
Sorry it took me awhile to get a reply back to you. I have a few parish records from the Northumberland county, but for the towns that I have, I couldn't find any information that could help you. Sorry about that! There was one Hepple in the Chatton parish records and a few Lawsons but none that seem to match your names and dates.

Re: Microfiche records - MUCKLEs of Chatton, Northumberland.

I was interested to read your message about the Muckles of Chatton, Northumberland.
I am relatively new to the whole family history thing and haven't got back very far yet but I am reserching one particular branch of my family tree at the moment which includes the Muckles of Chatton.
My great great grandmother was named Margaret Jane Muckle and was born in Chatton in 1860, she later married and moved away. However I discovered on the 1871 Census that she origanally lived with her mother,Jane Muckle b. 1840, and her sister Elizabeth (b. 1861) and brother Charles (b.1863) in Chatton, however her father isn't mentioned on this census. I was intrigued by this and wondered whether he had died previously, was away at the time or wasn't recorded for some other reason.
The fact that the he doesn't appear on the 1871 Census makes it difficult for me to trace the family back much further however I imagine that the family of Muckles you are investigating are related to the family of Muckles I am researching!
I don't know if this has been of any help but if you could help me in any way then I would be very grateful.
Thankyou

I know that this message was posted a long time ago now but I wondered ( if you still have all of the records you mentioned) if you had any records of the Muckles of Chatton, Northumberland.
A certain Jane Muckle (b.1840 and a mason's wife) is my great great great grandmother. I know that she had three children, Margaret Jane (b.1860 who is my great great grandmother), Elizabeth E. (b 1861) and Charles (b. 1863), however her husband is not mentioned on the 1871 census from which I found this information.
I wonder if you could help me as I am relatively new to the whole family history thing!
Thankyou

I am happy to tell you the Muckle's that are in the Chatton register. From the 1712-1812 baptisms, marriages, and deaths there are just a couple in the baptism section. They are as follows: "May 24, 1812: Philip (born May 6) 1st s. of Philip Kinghorn, husbandman, N. of the P. of Belford, by his wife Elizabeth, 4th d. of Peter Muckle, weaver." Also, "Sep. 13, 1812: Margaret (born Aug 26) illeg. d. of Peter Muckle, husbandman, N. of the P. of Ford, and (blank) Forster." I realize those two entries are earlier than what you are looking for, but I thought I'd just share them with you in case something turns up to connect them. According to the index, those are the only times the name Muckle appears.
In the Chatton Parish Baptisms 1813-1861, again there are two entries. They are as follows: "8th Nov 1840: Elizabeth, daughter of Charles and Margaret Muckle, mason of Chatton." The other is: "11 April 1847: Thomas, son of John and Jane Muckle, tailor of Chatton Mill." I'm not sure that helps you with what you already have, but that's what is in there. Good luck in your research!

Hi. There are microfilm records online that you can search. They are at the LDS lab site. There are records for Chatton and there was a Charles MUCKLE listed from Chatton who died in 1863. You may be able to search the earlier records and find a marriage. I didn't see any MUCKLE births for the ones you mentioned. You should check out the records. The births may be listed under another heading.
