Michael Thompson was born in Haltwhistle around 1811. He married Isabella Robson who was born in Greenhead in 1816. Their first child (Isabella) appears to have been born in 1846 so they were probably married in the early 1840s.

I know the subsequent family history. Can anyone help with the marriage details etc.

My grandfather was Thomas SWINNEY Marshall; he was married to Lizzie Ann McIntyre. He was born and lived all his life in Newcastle upon Tyne. His father was John Hunter Marshall, married to Mary Jane Lawther. It would be interesting to know where the name SWINNEY came from - it's a very unusual name.

regards

Sandra
