Would this be a connection to Christmas Taylor who lived to 102 and died in 1951., or perhaps Horace Taylor that owned the Waggon and Horses at Griston in 1920s ?.

I'am not related but do hold some info on Christmas Taylor.
I remember two Fred Taylor's in the area, one living in Caston a scrap dealer, the other owned the Hockham Eagle Pub. I was trying to view your images but unable to see the wedding photo.

Where abouts are you in the world ?.

Hi

I have some connections to these families,
though their DOWNES ancestries.

Arthur Robert Taylor ( chr. 24 May 1880 )
is the son of Arthur Taylor ( 1857 to 1937 )
& Jemima Blanche Spragg ( 1860 to 1924 ? )

( Jemima is the dau of William Spragg & Sarah DOWNES )

Christmas Taylor ( 1849 to 1951 )
marries Caroline DOWNES ( 1850 to 1925 )

I think I have Arthur Robert Taylor marrying a Lily Xxx ?
( a daughter Rachel ? ) but no further knowledge.

I have charts that can be e-mailed.

Christmas Taylor once lived in my old house, I have a newspaper cuttiing of his five decendant generations. also a picture of him. Christmas and his wife have two small metal crosses as there memorials.I beleive the Pease family is also connected some where.
As a local historian i have also followed the Downes family.

Hi

I've seen Tony's "Merton" web pages
http://www.merton.ukgo.com/ with Christmas Taylor's
photo etc. and the info on Broadflash farm

I couldn't find the crosses last time I visited the church,
probably lost in the long grass.

I'm not yet aware of a Pease connection with this branch
of the Downes or Taylor family. I know of Kate Maria Downes
who marries Albert Melton Pease in 1891, but in
Great Ellingham ( not that far away )

The newspaper cutting is of interest.

I have traced a few of Christmas Taylors descendants
... can send charts via e-mail, as attachments

Regards Phil Bowden
