lottee, in 17/2/1805 there is a burial of Sarah Allison an infant daughter of Charles & Rose, it is in the Burial registers of St Nicholas Church East Dereham, it could be a previous daughter maybe.

I am also looking for a Charlotte Priest but don't think we are after the same Charlotte.My Charlotte married a John in 1832 at Weston Turville Bucks.I am looking for the death of Charlotte but seems to have hit a brick wall at the moment.I am a Priest and my Ancesters all seem to come from the Buckinghamshire area.I have got to the date of 1746 and am trying to find a Tudor Priest with not much luck.

Having trouble finding any info on her in England, don't know whether Robinson is her maiden name or married name. Help!!!

WORTS or WATTS of Norwich, Norfolk, UK

I am researching the Watts/Worts of Norwich who were worsted weavers. I am especially interested in any Benjamin or Stephen Worts, later Watts, around 1700-1800. Steven/Stephen's sister Amia {children of Benjamin (1675-1755) and Amy nee DAVY (d. 1748)} married John Mearis in 1736.
Steven/Stephen was bp 1 Jan 1703/04 in St Peter. I am trying to find his children. I think he died in 1772 aged 70 in St George Tombland where the Worts originated from.
My line goes back to a james Worts and Mary who started to have children in 1751. Before that, I know nothing but I believe he is Steven's son. need to prove it.

The Error with my first entry was Eric Harvey(b. 1927) may now be the son of Edward George Harvey.

Albert Eric Harvey married a June Garwell in 1948(his second wife) (first wife was a Dorothy Mabel Wing)

They had two children: Robert(Bob) Albert Harvey who married a Marian Garwell. And a Sally Ann 'Harvey'

Sally married a USAF Airmen John David Crider and had two girls, Lolita Michelle and Kristie. Then Sally Ann Married again to another American, Ronald Lee Holt and they had a son Robert Lee. Sally is now somewhere in the USA, I don't know where????

Would anyone be able to help me find a baptism for Darius Church MONEY, born around 1845/1846 in Yarmouth? On the 1851 census he's listed at 156 Cross Row, Yarmouth as a grandson. There is a single daughter also listed, who would was 28 at the time, her name was transcribed as Nilaby, which is a name I've never heard of before. The original census isn't any clearer. If anyone can shed any light, it would be great

I am trying to find marriage records between 1809 and 1835 around West Walton or Walsoken. Does anyone know where I could find them? I am looking for marriage of William LYNN to unknown spouse and also William LYNN to Mary Ann Armager.

Also does anyone have the burial index for St Mary Parish in West Walton or for Walsoken? I am looking for Sarah Ann LYNN died 31 Dec 1841 and for James LYNN who died sometime between 1842 and 1844.

Any help is appreciated very much.

I am not a member of the Clabburn family although I do have roots in the Walpole villages in the NW. My interest in your family comes from some help I was able to offer a lady descendant of David Clabburn (1806). In the process I found a Robert George Clabburn (1827/8) who emigrated to Australia with his family in 1852. I have quite a lot of information on Robert to which you are welcome if of interest. What I am looking for is a possible family connection between David and Robert. Their histories in Australia indicate there was but I have found no proof in Norfolk.

Hi, I live in Boughton and last year i picked iup the parish registers of norfolk Boughton 1691-1837 transcribed by Charles Farrow in 1986, at the Who Do You Think You are family history fair. By coincidence, My mother's maiden name is also Lambert- not from boughton). I knew the book would come in handy one day. Here are all the Lambert mentions from the transcriptions:

My grandmother was Edith Housego and she was the oldest daughter of John Housego and Lydia Smith. John was the oldest son of Richard Housego and Eliza Arnott who in turn was the son of John Housego of Trowse Newton and Elizabeth Rood. There is a Housego reunion planned in Tasmania on 20 AAugust to celebrate 200years since John's birth.

I have mtDNA proof of maternal lineage startin with:
Elizabeth Spanton, b. abt 1777 who married Robert Gray b. abt 1785 and they married, 1795, I believe in Neatishead.
They had a daughter: Phyllis Gray b. 23 Jan 1811 - Ridlington, Norfolk. Elizabeth apparently died in Somme, Picarde, France.

Phyllis m. Robert Walpole, Ridlington, Norfolk, 9 Nov 1830. Phyllis & Robert had Maria Walpole and a son born on ship to Canada.

I am very interested in contacting anyone with any info and would be very pleased to contact living descendants of any of these people.

Hello Trudy. Rachel Grout was my father's aunt. He tells me that she and Charles did not have any children. He knows that Rachel re-married and wondered if Charles was killed in WWI (although, as yet, I haven't found anything to confirm that). Hope this is of help. Kathy.

Hello, The Howsego name (and all its variations) is not Spanish, it is English. Originating mostly in Norfolk/Suffolk although has spread elsewhere.The name is
believed to have originated in North Friesland(Holland) but Howsego people have lived in England for many hundreds of years.
John and Anne Howsego are my ancestors, via their son William, who with his wife Emily Steele had 12 children. Maria Ann Knapp(nee Howsego) was christened as Housigo on 3rd June 1838 at Westbourne, Sussex. Her husband Alban Vincent Knapp was a blacksmith from Hampshire. They, their children and 2 other female members of the Howsego(Caroline and Emily)family sailed for New Zealand on the Edward.P Bouverie in 1873. I have more informatin on the Howsego/Steele family as well.

William Pointer (1822-1886) and Sarah Waller (1827-1916) emigrated to Australia. William originally had papers for Elizabeth Middleton, but left her behind in Norfolk (pregnant with Rebecca (1849 - 1929))and took Sarah with him, who also was pregnant at the time! I understand that Rebecca and her mother then lived with the Middletons, refer 1861 census Class: RG9; Piece: 1246; Folio: 165; Page: 3; GSU roll: 542783)
The descendants of William and Sarah Pointon in Australia are published in "A People called Pointon c 1730 - 1988" by Bruce C Pointon, who is descended from William's brother James Pointer. Note three of John Pointer and Mary Emmerson's children emigrated to Australia: James (1821-1880), William and Jeremiah (1824-1906).
Please let me know if you would like details of the Australian descendants.

Looking for info on Matilda Fiddy daughter of Sophia siblings Robert, Sophia, Rebecca, Frederic and John. All children bn Framingham pigot except John bn Kirstead.

I am not sure if Sophia was married to Isaac or a Benjamin I believe both had wives Sophia.

Sophia was bn Claxton c 1815.

Benjamin was a farmer in 1841 in Franingham died 1851 just before census and Sophia was living in lakenham in 1851 shown as widow.

I now have her marriage cert and it states her father was John Lowther, his occupation is unreadable. I have also traced her on a census after her marriage where she states she was born in Norwich, Norfolk. She was living in London at the time of her marriage in 1843

Thankyou so much for finding out johns marriage to Jael and her maiden name, yes i do have them on the cencus returns, apart from 1911, Jael had died way before then and John must have died by 1911 as i heard the family was in the kings lynn workhouse.
now i have to find his death.

John Clarke born 1831 in Morley St Peter, Norfolk, England,
had 2 marriages, first marriage to a lady called Jael nee ? (born 1831, thurton,Norfolk
second marriage to a lady called Jane Beckett (born 1855,Reymerstone, Norfolk)
John was still alive in 1901 age 71, but i am sure he died before the 1911 cencus in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, i think Jane and rest of family was in the union workhouse, King Lynn.

I will be very grateful for any help in this queary.

Samuel and Maria are in my tree as well. Their daughter, Sarah Ann Skerry, b. March 1842, married Walter Lyst, b. abt 1846. Their daughter, Beatrice Mary Lyst, b. 1872, married Ernest Edward Willby Leverett in June of 1891. Beatrice Mary had a one year old daughter, Emma Elizabeth Lyst, born out of wedlock. Where do I begin...
If you're a descendant of Rebecca Pointer b.1849, we're definately related, but way back!
I am a descendant of Henry and William, sons of Jeremiah and Christianna. Their sons had two children who married their first cousins. Henry b. 1806 and William b.1809 immigrated to Canada.
I have done extensive research and have a lot to share.
Rebecca was the legitamate daughter of William (b.Sept 1822 in Morston, son of John and Mary nee Emmerson) and Elizabeth Middleton (the daug.of Robert Middleton and Martha Graver (could be related to Christiannna Graver/Graveling/Graveland) They married Jan 8 1848 in Salingham.
Legand tells us.... William left England October 1848 shortly after his marriage to Elizabeth with another woman, Sarah Waller (also from Saxlingham) They went to Australia and had a large family. Their first child, John, was born in Aus. May 25 1849.
It's not known if he was aware of the pregnancy of Eliza. when he left.
That's why you haven't found William's death in Eng. and I believe Elizabeth remarried. ( this would have been after 1871)
There's a book written by Bruce Pointon "A People Called Pointon". A GREAT book detailing the lives of ALL the Pointons who are descendants living in Aus. I'm actually meeting with him this June in Toronto as he passes though on holiday.
James Pointer b. 1821 and Jeremiah Pointer b. 1824 (sons of John and Mary) ALSO went to Australia.
I found Rebecca and Alfred Osbourne with three children, Gertrude, Frederick and Florence on the 1881 census.
How are you connected to the Osbourne's???
John Pointer christened 1830 was the son of James Pointon married to Mary Fish (second wife) was born 1799, the son of Jeremiah and Christianna.

I am hoping to connect with ANY descendants of Jeremiah Pointer and Christianna Graveling.
Jeremiah b.1761 Brinningham, Norfolk married Christianna Graveling b. 1765 Thornage, in 1785 at Thornage.
Their children were Nelly b.1786-bef.1851 who m. John Riseborough, Mary b.1788-1869 who m. Anthony Couzens, John 1791-1791, John b.1792-1854 who m. Mary Emmerson, James b.1799-?, Jeremiah b.1802 who m. Rebecca Howman, Henry b.1806 who m. Alice White and William b.1809 who m. Mary Ann Clarke.
Jeremiah died 1823 in Field Dalling. Christianna remarried to John White. Christianna died 1850 in Warham at the home of her daughter, Mary Couzens.
I'm hoping to find all descendants of this union.
Some are in Australia and Canada.
