I think that your Joseph and Jane Ashby are my gg grandparents. My Jane Ashby's maiden name was Foster.
My g grandmother was from Kettering and was one of about 16 children, which would fit along with the 12 children as of 1901. My g grandmother's name was Albinia Iris Ashby, and she was born ~1896 and was the fifth daughter. If her name is on your list from the 1901 census, please let me know because that would help me make a connection with the correct Joseph and Jane.
The only other names of the Ashby children that I know are Vera, Dora, and Margaret (I think all younger than Albinia). I would appreciate the names of any others!
The Jane Ashby that I found in connection with Joseph Ashby from Bugsbrook was born in Heyford, Northants.
