Surnames: Coe, Whitney
I can't really answer your question about researching in the 1700s. I'm not there yet myself but I noticed in your surname list you had "Coe" and "Whitney". I have ancestors with those last names from Northamptonshire. I was just curious if those surnames were also from Northamptonshire. Ann Coe (born 1834) married James Martin in 1856. Joseph Whitney (born 1840s) married Sarah Ann Capps in 1864.
