I am researching this lady, but am unable to find a marriage certificate for her. I believe she had two children in the 1930's by a man called REginald Timbrell. Any info on this person is appreciated.

As she was born in 1910 it is likely that she married after 1930- not yet covered by the Free BMD site.

You will need to use Ancestry's COMPLETE marriage indexes, and search 1/4 by 1/4 for her.

If you know the birth dates of any of her children you will at least have a rough starting point.

Hi
I have searched the GRO Marriage Index quarter to quarter from 1925 to 1940 inclusive but have not found a marriage for a Florence B Wrighton to a Timbrell.
The only marriage I could find was:
Florence B Wrighton married Kenneth F Gumm Dec Q 1939 Birmingham Vol 6d p 1500.

Best wishes
Pam

I have searched the new Ancestry 1916-2005 birth index with Timbrell as the surname and Wrighton as the mothers maiden name and you get three- one in Battersea in 1933,and two in Oxford in 1935 and 36.

I won't print the names here incase they are still alive.

It doesn't tell me who the parents are though of course.

Thank you for the information on those births. I would appreciate it if you could tell me where exactly those links are so that I may look up the names for myself.

Here is the link to the new search facility on Ancestry.

http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=8782&...

It allows you to search births from 1916-2005 by surname and mothers maiden name- you do have to be a subscriber though.

My name is Catherine Clayton, I am trying to trace Florence Beatrice Wrighton who is my maternal grandmother, my mum is one of the children who's name has not been mentioned and was born in 1933 in Battersea London and the adopted by her great aunt Frances Beatrice Bithell (deceased). I am trying to trace any living brothers, sisters or their children of my mother Kathleen.
Reading the information posted by you, I think you know the family, we know alot about Reginald Timbrell my mums father, but no one in the family knows much about what happened to Florence after 1939
