Elizabeth Annie WEAKLEY (1860- ) Melksham, Wiltshire m. Wm. SILK in 1882, Calne, Wiltshire. Their first child was Wallace WEAKLEY (c1883- )(not Silk).
Possibly related to the Martock, Somerset WEAKLEY's but not sure. I am a Silk. If you know of additional information on Elizabeth I would appreciate hearing from you.

My grandmother was Eliza Weekly married to Numa LeLeu in Crowley Louisiana. Story has it that my Weekly's were from England and that our ancestor was thrown out of the House of Parliment because of religious belief or treason. Which as I understand it certain religious beliefs could have been treason. These are the names that I have been given by a cousin...Eliza's father was Cleophar, gr father was Joseph. grgr father Cyrus of Georgia and grgrgr father George Weekly married to Rachel Morris. Still trying to fill in dates and places.

Mark, my Weakley's come from Ky. Jeremiah Weakley came to Ky from either Md or Va around 1790, I have found no information on him only that statement in the Ks Heritage Book. However his son also named Jeremiah born in Scott Co, Ky married Sarah (Sally) Cook. About 1852 they took their family to IN where two more children (James Todd & Isabelle) were born, then on to IL & finally settling in Ks. Two sons (Thomas and John) went back to IL to raise families in the Sullivan area. Jeremiah's wife Sarah died about 1873 in Wilson Co, Ks where he donated land for a cemetery, it's near New Albany, Ks. The cemetery is the Weakley Cemetery. Jeremiah remarried in 1875 to Martha Jane (Thompson) Clemens Roberts moved from Wilson Co to Cowley Co, Ks.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying desperately to find info on my first Jeremiah...thanks for your time...
